Do I Detect a Nuclear Weapon?

Monday, 13 October 2008

How could a mobile phone possibly detect where the joker was?

Well, according to Researches at Purdue University they can now detect a lot more- Nuclear Weapons to be exact.

They are currently developing new technologies that will change a regular mobile phone into a walking nuclear weapon detector, sniffing and searching out dirty bombs, amongst other weapons.

The phone traces the radiation from the deadly device and when it passes closer to the weapons or bombs it strongly detects its whereabouts.

So if you have always wanted to be spy like James Bond or a superhero like Batman, now’s your chance to save the world. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2008/09/everyone_will_be_a_walking_nuclear_weapon_detector-2.html
